Baby Sleep Tips (3-6 Months)

Baby Sleep Tips 3-6 Months - Bullabaloo

Tip 1: Encourage Day and Night Recognition

If not already established, it's important to help your baby distinguish between day and night. Make daytime feeds and activities lively, and night-time feeds quiet and calm.

Tip 2: Develop a Consistent Sleep Routine

By this age, babies can start to follow a more defined sleep schedule. Bedtime rituals like reading a book, singing a lullaby, or having a warm bath can cue your baby that it's time to sleep.

Tip 3: Promote Self-Soothing

Some babies may have started self-soothing by now, which is an important skill for sleep. Allow your baby some time to self-soothe if they wake up at night before rushing in to comfort them.

Tip 4: Understand Sleep Regressions

Sleep regressions often occur around 4 months of age. Understanding that these are common can make it less stressful when your baby's sleep is disrupted. You can read a blog post we write all about Sleep Regression
